Shiatsu is a form of therapy that involves working not only on the body but on a spiritual, emotional and energetic level. It has its origins in the ancient practice of traditional Chinese medicine and was adapted by the Japanese which is where the name originates (roughly translated from Japanese Shiatsu means finger pressure).
It works on the principle of encouraging the flow of energy, Ki or Qi (Chi), throughout the body encouraging it to self heal. The Ki flows through a network of pathways known as meridians and we use bodywork to stimulate this flow. Traditionally performed at floor level, Shiatsu uses a variation of finger and hand pressure, stretching, joint mobilisation and stimulation of certain points to allow the physical body to relax and the spiritual and emotional body to allow in light and love.
The treatment is great for many kinds of physical and emotional problems including back and joint pain, shoulder and neck pain, sinus problems and migraines, anxiety, depression and a variety of other issues. It is also great as a complimentary treatment for anyone undergoing any sort of psychotherapy or CBT, working on the eastern philosophy that one cannot heal the mind without also healing the body. Plus you’ll come out feeling totally relaxed and re-energised, what’s not to like?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process and it's designed to reduce anxiety, calm the mind and support you. Using a powerful combination of psychotherapy and hypnosis, clients are able to make changes in a relatively short period of time.
Unlike traditional counselling methods Solution Focused Hypnothereapy focuses on the present and the future in a positive way, how you want things to be, rather than dwelling on the problems which caused clients to seek help. Thinking about life in a positive way helps rewire your brain, an integral part of the process because it helps build new healthy patterns of behaviour which means you'll be less likely to dwell on things in life, breaking the often-debilitating cycle of negative thinking.
Each session is far more than just hypnosis. We begin by exploring the positive things that have happened over the last week establishing positive thought patterns which helps you cope with life in between sessions. We'll explore how these positive things makes you feel, helping you visualise small steps towards your new goals which then become more achievable.
The process helps you think using you 'Intellectual Brain', your Left Prefrontal Cortex. When we think from this part of our brain, we generally get things right in life as it's logical and makes proper assessments of situations in life. We can't always change the events in our life, but with practice, we can change the way we choose to think about them.
Past life regression is a therapeutic technique for accessing and re-experiencing a person’s past lives or incarnations. Based on the theory that your reactions and the way you respond to problems are based on the past, past life regression is a holistic therapy that works with a person as a whole - not only the body and mind but your emotions and spirit, too.
While conventional psychotherapy (counselling or talk therapies) can be very helpful for some people, they typically focus on the present life. But in some cases, particularly if you are dealing with an issue that seems not to have a direct cause, you may be unable to uncover the ‘source’ of the problem. In contrast, regression hypnotherapy allows the client to unlock emotions and experiences stored deep within their memory.
Some people try past life regression simply out of curiosity, to see who they were in the past. But for many, it’s a path to personal growth, healing or overcoming a specific problem such as
Past life regression therapy is sometimes used to help with other mental health issues, anxiety and mood disorders. Those with chronic health issues of unknown origin, as well as those with phobias they cannot explain, are thought to particularly benefit from this type of therapy.
By examining the experiences that are thought to have first signalled the problem, practitioners can help connect your current issues to a past life. It is hoped that by undergoing regression hypnotherapy, you will be able to make connections that you were unable to before - perhaps finally providing you with some explanation, or a sense of internal peace.
Hypnotherapy can be an extremely effective way of stopping smoking. it has been found in many studies to outperform other methods of quitting and doesn't use any sort of chemical products like nicotine replacement. After a consultation where the issues behind the addiction are examined and challenged, clients are placed in a state of deep relaxation or trance and are introduced to the tools that lie within themselves to finally quit the habit.
Clients are also given an audio relaxation track to listen too after the treatment has concluded to listen to during the day when relaxing or when going to sleep at night to help bolster their willpower as they begin their journey to become non smokers and finally being able to say 'No thanks, I don't smoke!'
Massage is perhaps one of the oldest healing traditions. Many ancient peoples – including the Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese and Indians – were convinced of the therapeutic properties of massage and used it to treat a variety of ailments.
Massage therapy is the practice of kneading or manipulating a person’s muscles and other soft-tissue in order to improve their wellbeing or health. It is a form of manual therapy that includes holding, moving, and applying pressure to the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.
The term ‘massage therapy’ is used to describe a wide variety of techniques that vary in the manner in which touch, pressure and the intensity of the treatment is applied.
Research indicates that massage is effective in managing:
• subacute/chronic back pain
• anxiety
• stress
• soft tissue injuries
• high blood pressure
• insomnia.
They can also be effectively used to support people with:
• a chronic disease
• a life threatening illness such as cancer.
